True story: Roomie was always getting malware despite not really doing much. I'm a sys admin, I keep as much as I can as standard permissions whenever possible. (Looking at you SWTOR-don't even need real admin privileges, so why ask for them every time? Too much of a pain to create a new installation package that fools the game into thinking it's elevated. I've refused to play games that demand it unless I find a way to trick the game into thinking it's in elevated permissions. My primary issues post Avada Kedavra Patch were visual.Īlso, I never do anything as Admin. ![]() If the new Game-Ready drivers work for you, great! I'm sticking with the Studio ones. My simple UE4 and 5 development despised the Game-Ready ones, kept getting a weird error that claimed the GPU being used was disconnected mid-execution with the Game-Ready drivers.
